ASCO Farris
Engineering Kunkle
- Asco solenoid valves
ASCO offers
solenoid valves for virtually any application. Models include
general purpose, explosion-proof, intrinsically-safe, combustion,
and air-operated. They are available in brass, stainless steel,
plastic, and aluminum bodies. Enclosures are available to
operate from -40°c to 200°c in normal and hostile
or explosive enviroments.
General purpose valves are available to control air,
water, light oil, and gases. Pipe sizes of 2 way solenoid
valves are available from 1/8" to 3". Pipe sizes of 3-way
solenoid valves range from 1/8" to 1". The pipe size range
of 4-way valves is 1/4" to 1".
Air operated valves are designed with a unique sealing
member which isolates the pilot air pressure from the main
line. Variations in pilot air pressure do not affect valve
operation, constant pilot pressure is not required and standard
valves will provide long life while handling dry or lubricated
air. Available in 2, 3, or 4 way, with brass or stainless
steel body. In pipe sizes from 1/4" to 2" NPT.
Combustion valves are used for shut off and vent valves,
to control the flow of fuel oil and gas in industrial boiler/burner
applications. Taps in their aluminum bodies allow for convenient
routine testing. Aluminum bodies with pipe sizes from 1/2"
to 3".

- Farris
Engineering
Since the early 1940s, the Farris
Engineering unit of Curtiss-Wright Flow Control has designed
and produced a wide range of spring-loaded and pilot-operated
pressure relief valves. Used as safety devices, they prevent
overpressurization of vessels, pipelines, and equipment. Farris
is a recognized leader in the hydrocarbon processing, refinery,
petrochemical, natural gas production and transmission, pharmaceutical,
and general processing industries worldwide. A pioneer in
the field, Farris Engineering created many products that remain
industry standards. Integrating its core hardware technology
with the information age, Farris originated computer software
to assist customers in the sizing and selection of valves.
A recent reorganization of manufacturing plants and processes
maximized production effectiveness to position the business
unit at the forefront of the industry, with service and delivery
second to none.

Optional Balanced Bellows design isolates working parts and
top-works from fouling or corrosive service and nullifies
the effects of back pressure on valve performance.
The "D" to "T" orifices meet API standard 526 covering orifice
areas and center to face dimensions. Super capacity types
range from "W" (57.26 square inches) to "Z" (159 square inches)
orifices and have a maximum set pressure limit of 300 psig.

3800
ASME NB Certified: Air & Water
Sizes 1" x 2" to 12" x 16". Orifice areas from 0.110 to 109
square inches. Pressures from 15 psig to 6,170 psig. Temperature
range of -400 °F to +450 °F. Steel body and bonnet
with stainless steel trim. Semi-nozzle design.
The "D" to "T" orifices meet API standard 526 covering orifice
areas and center to face dimensions. Full bore designs available
with 1" through 12" inlets and orifice areas from 0.719 to
109 square inches giving maximum capacity for a given inlet
and modulating size. All stainless, non-flowing pilot controls
minimizes product loss and provides maximum resistance to
corrosion. Available in Snap Acting or Modulating designs.
Standard "O" ring elastomer seat main valve and pilot control
minimizes fugitive emissions and allows operation within 95%
of set pressure. Materials include Viton®, Buna N, ethylene
propylene, silicone and Teflon. Optional materials of construction
include complete 316 stainless steel.
Applications: Air, gas, vapor, and liquid services where maximum
seat tightness, operating pressures and precise adjustment
are required. Excellent for natural gas pipeline and compressor
service.
Series
3800 Modulating Pilot Valve
Reduce
product loss and fugitive emissions with the PCM non-flowing
modulating pilot control from Farris Engineering.
The PCM Modulating Control offers a variety of features and
benefits. It opens in proportion to the overpressure to minimize
fugitive emissions and product loss as well as to reduce noise.
The PCM also reduces the shock loads to vessels and piping
systems due to valve actuation. Its set pressure is not affected
by constant or variable backpressure. In addition, the PCM
Modulating Control can be directly interchanged with our PCF3
snap acting control in the field for both cost and time savings.
Modulating Pilot Valves:
- Sizes
1² x 2² through 8² x 10²
- Set
pressure from 15 to 1500 psig
- ASME
NB Certified for air, gas, vapor and liquid service
- Convertible
to NACE compliant materials
